Welcome Back Fam 2024! (3)_edited_edited

Welcome to P.S. 145

Thank you for your interest in our little corner of the world where we are dedicated to nurturing your child's unique potential. Our thoughtfully designed academic programs cater to each age group, empowering students to explore their interests and passions, setting a strong foundation for their journey into middle school and beyond.

Academic Programs

We have three distinct programs that parents can choose from to start their child's academic development: Monolingual Program, the Spanish Dual Program and the Russian Dual Language Program.  Special Education services are available to all children who are determined to need the extra support.

Stepping onto the playground of P.S. 145 on the first day of school, the air buzzed with anticipation. Students clutched new backpacks, eyes wide with excitement and a hint of nervousness. Suddenly, happy music took over and the air was filled with thousands of iridescent spheres—it was the Bubble Bus! Thousands of iridescent bubbles floated skyward, catching the sunlight and creating a magical scene. Laughter erupted as children chased and popped the bubbles, their first-day jitters melting away. Teachers joined in, waving their class signs and sharing smiles. The Bubble Bus transformed the day into an unforgettable first day, marking a joyful start to the school year. One school. Fresh start. Continue the work.

What's for Lunch?

Breakfast, lunch and afterschool meals are free to all NYC public school students during the school year.  Last year, the P.S. 145 cafeteria participated in the NYC Department of Education’s Office of Food and Nutrition Services’ Cafeteria Enhancement Experience (CEE) - an innovative, highly cost-effective model that modernizes and transforms the cafeteria experience for students. It addresses two of the largest barriers to student participation in school meals: cafeteria environment and food appeal. The serving line is transformed into a deli-style service that is visually appealing and gives students more options on a daily basis. The seating area is student-centered with more welcoming, comfortable, and social seating.  Our Wellness in the Schools Chef collaborates with our kitchen staff to make sure that meals are prepared in a healthy way.  Click on the button below to see the menu.
