Dance Instruction
At PS 145, all students engage in weekly dance instruction. Through dance, students learn teamwork, focus, and improvisational skills. Dance awakens new perceptions in children which help them learn and think in new ways. Dance also enhances skills of perception, observation, and concentration which will undoubtedly help students in all of their school subjects.
PS 145 has a winter and spring performance where all families and friends are invited to come watch their children perform and showcase their months of hard work and dedication!
Music Instruction
Once a week, students engage in music instruction. With a room full of instruments, students are given an opportunity to learn new songs, while also getting to use guitars, tamborines, a piano, their own recorders, and more. An extension to music, students engage in Honor's Chorus for grades 3-5, along with an after school rock band option for students. Music and Dance teacher collaborate together with students before the Winter and Spring Shows, to prepapre students and host the best show possible!
